ACC and PCC portfolio candidates
The recording pathway closes on 31 March 2027.
From 1 April 2027, ICF replaces recorded-session evaluation for ACC and PCC portfolio applications with a mentor coaching engagement of three months or more. Until then, you control your own timeline: pick your best recording, submit it once, and pass first time. MCC applications are unchanged.

Step 1
Send your recording
Upload the session you are considering submitting. Before anything else, we check what a file can show against the ICF submission rules: the 20 to 60 minute length, the transcript and its format, a translation where one is needed. If it fails one of those, we tell you straight away and your review credit carries over to the recording you send in its place. Nothing is wasted.
Step 2
Five assessors examine it
Five distinct assessor perspectives, calibrated against the published ICF standards and real evaluation outcomes, each judge the full session independently, timestamp by timestamp. One assessor gives you an opinion. Five give you the standard.
Step 3
One signed verdict
You get a clear call: Submit, Not Yet with exactly what to fix, or Do Not Submit. Plus the panel breakdown, the evidence behind every judgement, and a report reviewed and released by a Master Certified Coach.
AI gives us the depth to examine every minute of a session, which no human reviewer can do at this price. What AI cannot do is judge like a Master Certified Coach. This is the only review where both happen: the analysis is checked, challenged and released by a coach the standard has already tested. Machines do not sign their work.

ICF charges $150 per recording to retake a failed performance evaluation. Nothing here reaches that number. You will never pay us more than ICF charges you to fail.

No other reviewer, human or AI, puts consequences behind their opinion. We do, because the verdict is the product. Send us the ICF results report for the recording we passed and the next review costs nothing.
One honest caveat, and you deserve it up front: ICF evaluations are performed by human assessors, and assessors differ. We have documented the same recording quality failing with one assessor and passing with another months later. Our verdict measures your recording against the published standards; the assessor you draw is the one risk nobody can remove. That is exactly why every Submit verdict states it, and why the guarantee exists.

A Master Certified Coach who has sat where you sit.
Gary Malcolm holds the Master Certified Coach credential, the highest of the International Coaching Federation’s three levels, awarded on assessed coaching hours and recorded sessions examined against the ICF Core Competencies. He earned it the hard way: multiple submissions, and official feedback too thin to develop from. This service is what he wishes had existed then.

- What do I need for an ICF-compliant recording?
- One continuous, unedited audio recording of 20 to 60 minutes with a real client who has given written consent, plus a verbatim, speaker-labelled, timestamped transcript, and an English translation if the session is in another language. Before your review begins we check what a file can show: the length, the transcript and its format, and that a translation is present. What only you can confirm, and ICF holds you responsible for, is that the recording is one continuous unedited take, that your client consented in writing, and that any translation is accurate; we flag obvious signs of editing but cannot certify these for you. If something we check fails, we tell you immediately and your credit carries over to the replacement recording. We can also produce the compliant transcript for you.
- What does the verdict actually mean?
- Submit means at least three of the five assessor perspectives judge the recording at standard, confirmed by a Master Certified Coach before release. Not Yet means the panel is split, and your report shows exactly which assessor styles would pass you and what to change. Do Not Submit means no perspective passes it, and the report tells you why, so your next recording is different.
- Can you guarantee ICF will pass my submission?
- No, and nobody honestly can, because human assessors differ. What we guarantee is our own judgement: if we say Submit and ICF fails that recording, your next review is free on sight of the ICF results report.
- Who sees my recording?
- Your recording and transcript are used only to produce your review. The recording is deleted once your review is complete; the transcript and your report are retained under your order reference so the guarantee can be honoured. Nothing is published, shared, or used to train anything without your explicit written consent. Your client’s confidentiality is treated with the same care you owe it.
- Are the five assessors real people?
